Our Khmer Education Programme follows the official Cambodian national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, ensuring students receive a high-quality Khmer language education from kindergarten to upper secondary school. We are committed to excellence in Khmer literacy and academic development, using creative teaching techniques and qualified, well-trained teachers to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment. By integrating innovative teaching methods with a strong foundation in Khmer reading, writing, and comprehension, we equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in national exams and beyond. Through a holistic approach to education, we nurture academic achievement, cultural appreciation, and personal growth, empowering students to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens who contribute to Cambodia’s future.

Kindergarten children in Khmer Education Programme working with water bottle caps

Kindergarten

Kindergarten years 1-3 are very important for young children as they are prepared to enter primary school. The Khmer curriculum for these students focuses on the introduction of the Khmer language by engaging students in the sounds of the Khmer consonants and vowels. The aim is that students get familiar with writing, listening and especially speaking Khmer to support basic conversations. At this level they are also introduced to basic math principles like numeracy.

Primary

For the primary levels grades 1-6, we will offer the necessary subjects that are prescribed by the ministry each year. Students will gain extensive knowledge in the Khmer Language by mastering the correct pronunciation of the Khmer sounds, blending, reading and writing. The other subjects that students will follow are Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. All these subjects will be conducted in Khmer by professional and specialized teachers. By exploring mathematical concepts like geometry and measurement, students create logical solutions for complex problems. Science concentrates on explaining action and reaction while Social Studies tackle daily living and morality questions. Also Khmer culture is an important factor that is included in our Khmer curriculum.
