SHINE’s part-time General English Programme is designed to help students improve their English proficiency for academic and career success. Our programme builds confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through interactive pair and group work, ensuring practical language use in real-life situations. Using English File, an Oxford University Press course book, we incorporate engaging content and dynamic teaching methods to encourage creative and critical thinking. The program consists of six levels—from Beginner to Advanced—each taking nine months to complete. Graduates of the Advanced level achieve an IELTS equivalent of at least 5.5, preparing them for higher education and professional communication. Beginner
The beginner level is designed to build a strong foundation in English through interactive pair and group activities. Elementary
Building upon the foundational skills acquired in the beginner level, our elementary level delves deeper into English language proficiency. Students engage with more complex topics, enhancing their vocabulary and understanding of grammatical structures. The curriculum emphasizes practical usage, enabling students to confidently navigate everyday situations and comprehend a variety of texts. By the end of this level, students are well-prepared to tackle pre-intermediate challenges, further advancing their English capabilities.
Pre-Intermediate
The pre-intermediate level focuses on expanding students’ language skills to handle a wider range of everyday situations and texts.
